Human Resources

Human resources managers supervise the organization's hiring process, from recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff. A human resources manager will assist the organization in connecting executives with employees, building an employer brand, improving employee engagement, building strategic talent resources plans. An HR manager volunteer will take ownership of all HR matters across the organization from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, and learning and development.

Attorney

We are looking for motivated attorneys with exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills to assist the organization in legal matters. We are looking to establish relationships with legal professionals to assist in legal needs, providing counsel, understanding legal options, and representation in court and negotiations. Attorneys can also assist the organization in conducting research, preparing legal documents, and performing other duties.

Goals:

  • Communicating with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and providing them with advice.

  • Developing strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.

  • Explaining legal options to clients and bringing possible outcomes or threats to their attention.

  • Building relationships with clients based on trust.

  • Developing arguments and representing clients in criminal and civil legal proceedings.

  • Preparing legal documents, such as contracts, dispositions, and pleadings, accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Staying informed about current legislation, especially concerning legal specialties.

  • Finding ethical solutions to legal matters.

Learning Objectives:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

  • Admission to the bar in the state of Alabama.

  • Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically.

  • Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop the case strategies.
