Allana

“God responded...’These are my daughters, and there are some people out there that I will not let sleep until they are found.’” - Rebecca Bender, Roadmap to Redemption

At the age of twelve our Executive Director, Allana, was awakened to the horror of human trafficking and knew that combating it was a part of her future. After years of sleepless nights filled with worry and prayers for those imprisoned in exploitation, she realized that she might just be a part of the revolution she was praying for.

Battling life-threatening health challenges began to hinder her hopes and dreams for the future. But firmly believing that “the greater the challenges, the greater the purpose,” she took hold of that promise and believed that for others as well.

She is driven by her love of supporting, encouraging, and promoting others in their faith, gifts, talents, and individual purposes. This passion paired with her life experiences and purpose for anti-human trafficking efforts is what inspired the creation and mission of The Little Tree Project.

Kristi

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke

Along with the title of wife and mom, Kristi is our Director of Special Projects at the Little Tree Project. Kristi holds a Bachelor’s in Art and Graphic Design and also an Associates in Applied Theology.

Born and raised in a small town, Kristi grew up on a family farm away from the many concerns of the modern culture. After learning about the tragedy of human trafficking in college, it occurred to Kristi that many people she had grown up with were highly at risk. The impoverished areas in her little town did not offer much opportunity for growth, leaving many young women grasping for identity and purpose by means of their bodies.

Kristi’s desire is to offer support to her community by reaching out about the topic of human trafficking. Many people have not yet realized that it creeps at their very own backdoor. She believes that raising awareness will empower the youth of today, and offer life-altering value to the hearts of many young men and women.

Her passion and prayer is to pursue the hearts of those at-risk, to liberate those who are presently victims, to journey into healing with the survivors, and to triumph evil by stirring the hearts of good men into action. This is Kristi’s mission and the heartbeat of the Little Tree Project

“I myself will tend my sheep and give them a place to lie down in peace, says the Sovereign Lord. I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak. But I will destroy those who are powerful with justice.” (Ezekiel 34:15-16)

Andrea

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."  (Isaiah 61:1)

Born and raised in South America, Andrea came to North America for college. As an art major and graphic designer, Andrea is over our graphic design at Little Tree Project.

It was five years ago at college when Andrea became aware of the underground reality of human trafficking. It was then that she realized that it was more than just a physical enslavement but also spiritual confinement. She then discovered that she too was enslaved spiritually in her heart. When she became aware of what these girls were going through, she saw herself.

Spiritually, she was torn down with insecurity, and, if honest with herself, she felt worthless. The testimonies of the girls who had been recovered gave her hope. Their restoration gave her the courage to hand over her own bondage to God.

Because God has saved her from a mindset of slavery, there has been a burden on her heart to help the people who are modern day slaves. She has made the resolve to help survivors know the freedom which she has found!

She states, “Although, I may never understand or comprehend the emotional and physical abuse that each victim has gone through, I do relate to the spiritual side of their pain. But the truth is that God has called us to be His children, and He has called each of us all by name. “
